Smencils are scented pencils that are made from recycled newspapers. We roll sheets of newspaper tightly around the #2 graphite writing cores until pencils of typical thickness are formed. Then they’re hardened – allowing them to be sharpened just like wood pencils. Next, we soak them with our gourmet liquid scents. Once they’re dry, we attach the erasers and apply the graphics that identify which scent was infused into each Smencil!

I give these out for student birthdays. My middle schoolers love them, and they seem to be the only pencils that they don't lose. Because I use them infrequently, I sealed them in zip lock bags to help preserve the scent.My daughter loves this pencils, and she really wanted the chocolate milkshake but there was no chocolate milkshake included at all. She's still satisfied in having more than one of the same pencils tho.Kids cant wait for their birthdays!I teach so I purchased these pencils as gifts and I use the rest as prizes for good behavior and winning the games and the kiddos like them. They always try to a new pencil to trade.Great product. My daughter lover to purchase a pencil when we go into our bookstore and they are pretty pricey sold separately. This tub is cheaper than buying one separate and I allow her to pick one out every other week.These are very pricey for being a pencil but do have a great scent!We got this after many requests from a 7 year old. Usually we buy smaller packs but this time we got a large pack and it has lasted us! We keep each pencil still in their individual container so the smell is retained even after time. It came in a plastic cylinder but we moved them to a cup. There was a good mix of the scents and the pencils work well-- no issues with breaking thus far. I would not hesistate to buy again!Not all flavors had good smells but nice product packaging.
